Abstract

Berman reviews the history of tobacco regulation and provides an overview of the FDA’s authority to regulate tobacco products. He then explores how researchers can align their research agenda with the FDA’s legal and regulatory authority, ensuring that research supports the creation of regulations that will stand up to the inevitable legal challenges brought by the tobacco industry.
