Abstract

The article considers the fourth optional protocol to the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on the right to education. Topics discussed include the evolving nature of international law in the context of children's rights, relationship between new and existing international law amid barriers to international cooperation and threats to democracy, and the role of children's rights scholars and researchers in identifying barriers to education rights and pathways.
