Abstract
The Act creates the Georgia Athlete Agent Regulatory Commission to administer the registration of athlete agents and to promulgate rules and standards of conduct. The Act requires disclosure of professional qualifications, training, and experience and allows denial of registration for certain reasons. The Act also requires a $100,000 surety bond which may be forfeited to the athletic association of any state university if an agent fails to notify the commission of his intent to sign an athlete with remaining eligibility to a representation contract, compensates a college athlete, or otherwise jeopardizes an athlete's college eligibility.
