Abstract
The Act clarifies current law relating to where weapons may be carried or possessed. It defines the offense of carrying a weapon without a valid license. The Act changes provisions relating to the carrying of weapons onto private property, public property, and campus grounds. It also provides for uniform security features of weapons carry licenses issued on or after January 1, 2012.
