Abstract
The Act, entitled the 2001 Crime Prevention Act, amends several sections of the Georgia Code relating to crimes, including changing the penalties for escape. The Act provides for forfeiture of motor vehicles, money and proceeds that facilitate sexual offenses. The Act also changes the authority of trial judges over sentencing and probation, as well as the penalties relating thereto.
