Abstract
This Act conforms current Georgia law to the requirements of the federal Riegle-Neal Interstate Banking and Branching Efficiency Act of 1994 in regard to interstate bank acquisitions and mergers. The Act authorizes Georgia banks to participate in interstate bank acquisition and merger transactions, resulting in interstate bank networks similar to the existing Georgia branch networks allowed by the law.
