Abstract
The Act establishes an Alzheimer’s Disease Registry within Georgia’s Department of Public Health and grants the Department of Public Health authority to create procedures, rules, and regulations to establish and operate the Alzheimer’s Disease Registry. The Act also ensures that any collected data contained in the Alzheimer’s Disease Registry will be confidential and that the Alzheimer’s Registry will comply with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
